The alarm can be controlled via this panel, two physical number blocks or the Ring application. There is a full page version when clicking on the “>” sign. For this panel once logged in, no account is needed. It shows the control panel on the top and a historical graph when it was armed and disarmed. The following block shows the last time somebody rang the door bell and a camera in front of the pedestrian gate.The panel has a view of the front of the house so you can see when the car gate open and closes. These cameras are the only ones stay active when the alarm is disarmed.

To use the ring alarm applications you need to be invited and to use the physical keyboards to arm and disarm the alarm you need to have an account. When the alarm is on, the cameras are switched on and a series of automations like a presence simulation run.

You probably don’t need to do anything with the pool.

Chemicals: It should be good enough to add some multi action chlorine tabs in swimming chlorine dispenser. They are next to the trap to go to the pool pump.

Cleaning: There is a leaf skimmer if you would like to remove some leaves from the surface. The skimmer filter might need cleaning from time to time. There are also two pool robotic cleaners. Normally the Zodiac MX9 is the pool cleaner we use. It needs to be connected to the skimmer with the tube fully filled by water (this is done by pushing the tube under water starting from the pool robot. There is also a Dolphin electrical pool cleaner (the tissue filter is in the wooden chest next to the bar). You need to leave the robot in the pool for at least 15 minutes after it finished to allow the motor to cool down.

Backwashing the filter is also something which you should only do if you feel very confident. You might even empty the water in the pool if you are not returning everything in the working position.

Palau de la Música

How about going to a concert to the Palau de la Música. It is worth to visit the building just from the outside already but the concert hall is great.

In warm weather (like almost always) you should go to St Cugat to the Monestir de Sant Cugat either with the S2, the scooters, or the car to take some tapas.

Some other restaurants recommendations in St. Cugat are the Bar Tomas for tapas, la Bolera to go to a Braseria, or Teleferic in hope they sell pinchos again (stopped due to the Pandemic).

In addition to the Sagrada Familia, the Park Güell (which I like much less since you need to buy tickets), Casa Batlló, Casa Milà more often called La Pedrera there is also since 2017 a new attraction Casa Vicens. If you would like to see two, I would go to see Sagrada Familia because of the fantastic light and the apartment in Casa Batlló.

There are many art museums in Barcelona but in addition to the best technical museum Cosmo Caixa there is also a nice Maritime Museum mmb or if you would like to see something outside Barcelona go to Terrassa which has the MNAC.

I also like the Moco Museum of modern art with many interesting artists (i.e. Guillermo Lorca)

The Picasso museum has beautiful architecture and Fundació Joan Miró is another interesting place to go.

Port Aventura

About an hour drive from the house close to Tarragona is a nice amusement park for children called Port Aventura. Depending on the age of the children there are different rides – please find out on the web site first.

If it is busy we are taking an express pass for every ride called Express Max which costs currently 35€ online per person (in addition to the 60€ for Port Aventura and Ferrari Land) and allows to use every big attraction once (not in Ferrari Land). This makes it possible to see everything in a day.
